Intricate and delicate formations are common. Once applied, the henna is left to dry. You can then wrap the body part in plastic or apply tape to trap the body heat. This leads to a darker color on the body. The henna dyes the skin with a red orange to dark maroon color. The color may last for a week or two.

Henna and temporary tattoos let you have the cake and eat it too. You can show off body art when you wish too, then you may remove it and opt for another whenever you wish too, giving you more freedom of expression.
