The UK has been hit over the recent months by the deepest and darkest recession since 1991 – this economic downturn was first thought to be only a ‘credit crunch’ however, it has quickly turned into something much more.
Since 1991 the UK has enjoyed a sustained period of economic growth, house prices boomed, unemployment reached its lowest levels for a number of years and the Pound performed well against the likes of the Dollar and Euro. This is now a thing of the past as we brace ourselves for the tough times ahead.
