They’ve been around in one form or another for almost twenty five years and nowadays most people just cannot do without their mobile phone; but just as integral today are the multitude of must have accessories that go with it. People seem to change their mobile phones more frequently than they change their library books, manufacturers are not slow to notice this and almost every week we see advertisements for the latest and greatest accessories to flood the market.
Manufacturers and the public alike are not satisfied with the plethora of mobile phones available, each one now has to have some new form of accessory. One of the reasons people buy mobile phone accessories is the perception that it adds value to their phone, or at least adds to the value of their device’s functionality.
Necessary Accessories
When you buy a mobile phone it comes with a couple of necessary accessories, e.g. its battery and charger. If you have a modern mobile or a Blackberry or Apple iPhone, then you may also have headphones, a data stick and cables so that you can connect your mobile and your computer – whether that’s a laptop at home or your office PC. There is already a wide range of products or accessories on the market including a stereo headset with a microphone and an answer button, which means you, can use your phone hands free.
Top Accessories
Some of the top mobile phone accessories are designed to make it easier to integrate and share information both with other mobile users and with your computer. So in 2010 we will see more memory sticks and cards, charging pods and screen protectors, anything that adds to a phone’s functionality and allows for better data exchange between mobile and computer.
Most mobile phone owners also have a case for their phone, just to make it look good. Some phones come with a range of fronts so that you can change the colour of your phone from one day to the next. An increasing number of phones also have a stylus so that you can write on the touch screen. iPhones have rechargeable batteries and cases.
All of these accessories are extras, they do not come with the mobile when you buy it, and as new accessories come onto the market all the time, we are constantly in the process of adding to our stock. Manufacturers know their market and continue to bring out more pink accessories for young girls to want to have with their phone and it is possible to get blackguards, pouches and even charms in pink to match the phone.
The Internet is becoming a major part of how we interact with our mobile devices. Google have been quick to change their focus from traditional search to mobile applications such as Google Voice and the innovative new way to search Goggles. Apple and other operators have also been working hard to create phone accessories that not only provide a good distraction, but actually improve how a phone functions and interacts with the world around you. 2010 looks set to become a pivotal year in the transition from desktop to mobile Internet and mobile phones, with their associated accessories, will no doubt play a major part.
It seems that an increasing number of mobiles will have Windows software ready loaded in 2010. We should also see more and improved blue tooth headsets The Apple iPhone is said to be getting a credit card reader in the near future and they have a new piano bolt on for this year so that iPhone users can get more musical.
